Coat Hook Concept Generation
For these ideas I tried to adhere to what constitutes "good design," as according to the Objectified documentary by Gary Hustwit, especially the principle that a good design is easy to understand the purpose of, and almost doesn't look designed at all as it is so obvious, that it seems silly to do it any other way. This was quite the contrast to my usual go to of making things as complicated as I possibly can. Furthermore I sought inspiration from Japanse stationery, which is usually very plain in appearance, but with clever little features that are simple and very functional.
