Refined Coat Hook Concept

 Refined Coat Hook Concept

This is a continuation of my previous blog post in which concepts for a coat hook were demonstrated. From there I have chosen one of said concepts to refine, based upon feedback from peers, as well as my professor. In the end I decided to go with concept #4 to refine. The reason I chose this is because not only was it a favorite amongst my peers, but a fantastic way to improve the idea of the concept was suggested to me.  This was to add tracks which the pegs could slide on, as this further strengthened the key idea of a coat hook,  which is that it was designed to hold multiple coats without them overlapping to allow for easier access. I did consider applying the idea from concept #1, in which the coat hook easily slides on and off a bracket, however this would add a further degree of difficulty to installation, and require more mounting hardware as the current design relies on the mounting hardware to hold the various components together.

Pictured below are the rankings from myself, my peers, and an average of each category.

Aaaaand without further ado, I present the renders of a further refined coat hook concept!

Note:  unfilled holes are for mounting hardware (screws,) and will be further refined once I learn the dimensions of the mounting hardware
